My name’s Anthony, aka Vortex Visionz Designs. I’m a self-taught professional graphic artist, illustrator, 3D modeler, and all around content creator with over a decade of hands-on experience in the design world. I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, collaborated with some incredible artists, and yes… probably sold my soul to the devil somewhere along the way🔥...

Jokes aside, I’m also a design instructor and art mentor who genuinely loves helping others stay inspired and grow creatively. I've fought many battles and treacherous obstacles so that I can help others navigate a better creative path through my own experiences and learning curves.

And wouldn't you know it... there was no chat GPT to help me out at the time either. Nope, just pure observation and willpower to improve. I managed to make things work though and I'm willing to bet you can too. You're not alone however, as I believe being a part of a like-minded community is super resourceful. 🧠

So what’s this about, ehhh?

I recently launched an Artist-Only Discord server, which I like to call "Vortex Visionaries" and have been steadily growing a small but active creative community. And I know what you’re probably thinking: “Great… another Discord server full of bots, spam, and useless content.”, but I promise you, this isn’t that..

It's full of fire ants and bees. Lots and lots of bees. So much so that the bees overtook the fire ants and got bored, so they sold the server to me now. I am not a pile of bees in a human suite..I promise you that ... 🐝...(oops one slipped away)

Anywayyy.. This server was carefully built to feel natural, welcoming, and intentional, with space for artists of all mediums and skill levels. All with the motives of staying inspired, supporting one another, and giving artists a place to feel comfortable, encourage artistic growth, and challenged without judgment.

Okay.. So, What does the server offer? (🐝Bees, swarms of be.. I mean..Bee-ing creative!)

Quite a bit, actually:

• Weekly art challenges and seasonal events
• Holiday art jams and community showcases
• Tech reviews and creative tools
• Feedback and progression sharing
• Self-promotion and giveaways
• Mental health, balance, and creative well-being spaces

It’s designed to help you stay creatively balanced while meeting new people, exchanging feedback, asking questions, and growing at your own pace. There’s also a Find Work section currently in development. As the server grows, this will become a space to connect with legitimate clients, commission other artists, or collaborate on projects. (More updates on that as time goes on though)

Overall, It’s the kind of community I wish existed when I was starting taking my work more seriously. (But as of this post, I'm now 33 and have moved on with everything I've managed to learn on my own.)

Will I get swarmed by bees once I join in?

Nah..this server is mostly Bee-free. 🐝~~ Once you join in, you’ll be guided through a short onboarding process that let's you customize the way you'd like to engage with the server, based on your specific goals and interests. Then you’ll assign your roles, followed by a quick intro on what you're about, and jump in at whatever pace feels right! Super simple

Alright..I've made it this far. WHO is this for?!

Active creatives and overall content creators looking to improve, have fun, socialize or just stay inspired. From beginners to advanced creatives, it's a space for those looking for a bit of inspiration, general connection or socializing, creative momentum or to take part fun unique events. A little bit of everything for everyone

Is there a catch?..Has to be a catch. Why you do this!?

Nope. No catch. No gimmicks, no scams, no drama, and of course.. no judgement! We value creative integrity and authenticity. And if you're curious about the use of ai, no worries about it invading the server. (I've hired Bees for that)

In all seriousness though, ai is generally avoided, with minor exceptions for things like brainstorming or concept inspiration. AI should be a tool, not a replacement for creative skill. The heart of being an artist is imagination, practice, and personal growth. You're welcome to experiment with it in some cases, but respectfully frown upon the use of replacing the labor and love that goes into making art...well. ART 🖼️

This is not a generic course, leaving you abandoned in a dark room with nothing but a writing utensil, a cup of coffee and the hope of fulfilling your dreams to improve. Nope...not that! It’s a personalized experience designed to help you grow with clarity and balance. Specifically tailored based on your personal goals. You'll get real time feedback and notes as well as unique assignments to help guide you along the way.
