Webpage help...

Hello! I just joined and I'm hoping someone here can help me.

I've recently started an online Ebay business, and the response has been good so far. I want to put up an actual business site by summer's end. I already know of places to buy a domain name and webspace [godaddy.com], and I know how I want my page to look, however:

How do I use my webspace? Where should I transfer files from (called FTP I think?) to my webspace? Geocities? Some other place? How does FTP work? Do I need notepad or something? I am so lost on all of that, as I've always used Homestead to build it all right there and never have to go through all these complicated steps.

Also, any links to some great sites for HTML would be great. Not the simple stuff like putting up a picture or a simple link, but more fancy html, only expained in a way I can understand, if that makes sense. I want my layout to "WOW" my visiters.

I know some of this is probably "What? That's easy!" to some of you, but I am very much a newbie to all of this. And uh... I hope I explained it all well :/
