Dell Inspiron 8600c
Hey peeps,
In my quest for more information, experiences, opinions etc, I am posting this here. Hopefully some of you will have experience with this machine :)
I am looking to buy a new laptop, and my eye has fallen on the Dell Inspiron 8600c. I am very very happy with my Dell desktop machine, but I need something I can easily take with me to clients and use when traveling. I am very happy with Dell customer support as well. The only downside that they *have to* come with windows pre-installed, which I won't use since i'll install linux on it once it arrives ;)
Anyway, the laptop will both be my main workstation for php development and a workstation for when on the road. Are Inspirons (and more specifically the 8600c) good for this? The experiences I have heard so far are quite good, and www.linux-laptops.net does mention someone who has gotten gentoo to work on a 8600c.
Anyway, hit me with ideas/opinions/experiences/other info! :)
