(crossposted to webdesign and wedev)
I feel awkward asking this. I'm going to be making my own pin-up website, but I'm really not sure I'll be able to do everyting properly. It'd projected to be up sometime in the early spring, so I can start saving to pay for the models, but because I'd like everything in order, I'm here to ask, on average, how much would it cost to hire someone on to help develop and manage the website?
I can't offer much at first, obviously, but as time goes on and the site grows I'll be able to pay more for the work. Pretty much it would include writing the code, and making frequent updates. I have friends that could handle the graphic design if needed.
Update: An outline of what I'm looking for.
-A plain entrance page with a disclaimer
-A main page, with navigation features, the most recent sets and interviews, and news.
-Model profiles, with a main profile picture- a journal, a small bio (which if possible I'd like for them to be able to maintain) and a set listing. Of course, this would have nvaigation at the top of the page. If possible, I would like visitors to be able to view and read the profiles, except for contact info, and sets.
-Member profiles, which would be similar to the models, only without a set listing. Perhaps a small gallery instead?
-(optional) a photographers section. I have a few very nice people that are willing to do shoots for free, and I would love to acknowledge their efforts.
-A 'news' page, which would also list the most recent information on the main page
-An application page
-A contact page (founder, webmaster, photographers, affiliation, etc)
-And a join page
-A 'street team' page with banners and a few printable fliers. I can design the content for this page.
- A message board, which would be open to a majority of people, with certain "members only" topics where visitors can read but not participate. A few private models only topics would be required also.
The models will need a way to upload new sets for review, but with no way to access/edit any other areas except for this profile and member features.
(I have a few friends that are willing to do the graphics to cut down on costs, if needed)
