MySQL anti-war volunteers?

I'm working on a web site to organize for peace... I know other good sites exist but this is a new idea with no predecessor. Anyway, I am building the front-end but it requires a simple database (first name, last name, city, zip) and I don't know anything about that except it seems like MySQL + PERL/php/asp would be the best way.
