Anyone still check stats?

I am in the middle of creating a standalone windows weblog analyzer that generates a report for the end user, based on a template system. I just want to know if I should even continue past the point it is at now, currently at alpha. Does anyone worry about checking their stats? Or, is the once a day stat update that most webhost do like my current host. I just want to know if should even bother adding more features to it, or if the server generated stat system or other stat software fits the bill for most web hosters. I did it as a learning expierence and did all the parts I pretty much wanted to learn. The software in question is open source.

As people who host website you probably have had a lot of expierence with stats software, my other question is there anything out there that takes care of all your needs or is there something missing, if so, what? And should I just say "OK I am done with this program, because no one is going to use whatever I put in here anyways. Time for the next project."
