a question!

hey, i'm new, i'm excited about the community and i have one major question that is very important!

i want to go into web designing as a career. i'm self taught html / frontpage / dreamweaver / photoshop so far, but obviously i need to know more in order to actually make this my career. i've been looking into colleges to learn what i need to know, but mostly i've only found web design as a part of a graphic arts program, and i am completely disinterested in drawing/painting/designing anything else other than webpages. has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what have you done? help!
