Is there such a thing that will allow me to update the public on the status of certain aspects of my site or certain projects?

I remember seeing something in use at nukecops.com I THINK…but I can’t seem to find it there anymore.

I thought about using bugzilla, but I don’t know if that’s really what that does.

Anyway, yeah, anyone have any ideas?

Although that's more for software than a site.
