We got the plan from ana-white.com and Tim built it. Then I painted it, cut the bumpers and scrolled some flowers and butterflies into the bumpers.

Thank heaven for little girls
Ella is in her big girl bed! We finished the door and finally put up her twin bed Tim build this past fall. She loves it. She has not follen out and is actually sleeping really well. Boy is her mattress comfy! But I must say she does look so little in her big girl bed!

Dutch door and toddlers
I took on a project and all I can say is "Thank You" to my wonderful husband who helped me complete the task as I wanted to throw the towel in! He stayed with it and now we have a beautiful Dutch door for Ella's room.
It bothered me to close and lock her bedroom door at night as it made me feel like she was in solitary confinement, but when she started crawling out of her toddler bed in the middle of the night and standing at the top of the stairs before I could get up to her, I decided a Dutch door would be the best solution.
So we went to home resources and got a used door. But when it turned out to not be the right dimensions and as easy of a fix I handed the reigns to Tim. He did so well! Then I painted it. We hung it, latched it, and wha la! Pictures below. Also notice the great spy hole Tim added!

Suckers, sunrises, wood, and fun
Did you know you could make suckers out of jolly ranchers? Neither did I! But we now know you can, and oh boy do my kiddos like them!
If you want to know how, text me and I can send you the directions. They are super yummy!
Yesterday morning I headed into town early to pick up 80 lbs of chicken. I took it all home and individually packed it. Now we are set for the next 6 months until Zaycon chicken comes back into town. It is the best chicken I have eaten! So moist and tender! If you are interested if they deliver to your town look them up on www.zayconfoods.com . Big thanks to my sister-in-law for getting us hooked!
Anybody got wood? We do! I found yet another project for Tim and I! I bet right about now he wishes I never found my favorite website, www.ana-white.com . I love this site. Thy are easy to do plans that even a beginner like me can tackle! So we are building our downstairs entertainment center. Finally after 7 years I am attempting to tackle our family room and make it a cozy nook that we can have family movie nights in!
And finally what is a vacation without some family fun! Can you guess what we did? Yep, we went bowling and to the arcade! What fun we had! Until next time...

Dinasor, puppets, and a little love
This morning I found a dinasor hiding out on our fridge. Boys will be boys and were hiding some army men and dinasor a around the house to hunt and shoot. They must have missed one as it was there for about 2 days and made me giggle every time I got a glass of water. I will miss these days if childhood innocence as my children grow up!
Puppet shows in the evening can make anyone smile and giggle! Check out Ella's enthusiastic giggle!
And with valentines day vast approaching, I have done my best to start making decorations. Above are Brock and Ella's envelopes I made. I saw the cutest envelopes on potter barn but the cheep side if me wouldn't pay $20.00+, so I made them. From the 1st of February until February 14th every morning the kiddos get a love note from Tim and I statig something we love about them.
The felt hearts are for my table centerpiece.
Happy February! More events to come as I am sure a week of vacation will leave us with many photo ops! Xoxo

Learning
A big thank you to my very generous, loving, and patient husband. With a lot of prompting, he is teaching me the ways around his garage and helping me learn some woodworking.
We built a bench for some friends of ours as a wedding gift. Tim did about 50% and I did 50%.
It is fun having projects to work on together. I hope he feels the same way! Below are aome photos. Stay posted as new projects come about!

Winter again
For the past couple of weeks we have had some unusually warm temperatures for January. So warm that my spring plants are starting to pop up from the ground. Today however winter came back and snow touched the valley floors. A welcome arrival as it is technically still winter. But when the weather turns cold, we play in the snow, go razor riding, sledding and shovel. When we need the worth of indoors, we bring spring inside with indoor hop scotch and sorting cubes or the fridge. Not to mention, we planted some herbs and are excited to watch them grow!

Too Long
It has been too long since my last post. I am so sorry about that and will do better at attempting to stay up to date.
A lot has happened in the past few months. Birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and much more. But with the new year, I have new aspirations in life. To live, be engaged, and accomplishing things. So, we have gotten together with friends, had plenty of family time, and even started some projects we are attempting to finish up.
We have started a dutch door for Ella's room. Not without a few glitches, but it is coming along great and now just needs some finishing touches to be completed. We are also working on a wedding present for some friends of ours that got married in SEPTEMBER (like I said, a lot has happened in the last few months and we are way behind!). But it is better late than never. So Tim has been helping me learn his tools in his workshop and helped teach me some major steps. Although because I am just learning, I do let him do the more "Advanced" cuts that I may attempted later on, but I would say I did about 50% of the cuts and helped put the project together. I will unveil it in the next week once it is completed. Super excited about just dropping it off at our friends house for them to enjoy. More on that later…and I hope they like it!!!
So, for now, this is simply a welcome back note and to let you know I will be vigilant on staying in touch!
