Are you a beginner looking to expand your knowledge, experience developer looking to dive deeper into the Next.js framework, or just someone who is curious about modern web frameworks? Well do we have the perfect hackathon for you!
Our unique hackathon experience is designed to supercharge your web development skills by focusing on learning more about Next.js's powerful features. Unlike traditional hackathons that prioritize end products, our challenge is all about learning and mastering the web framework's capabilities.
Your Mission:
Should you choose to accept it, your mission is to build a web application using Next.js that incorporates the widest array of its features. We'll evaluate projects based on the number of Next.js features utilized, the creativity and effectiveness of implementation, code quality and best practices, and overall project coherence.
Key Features to Explore:
Consider using features like Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), MDX, and other cool features that you might not know about in your project submission. There's always more to discover, so keep exploring!
About WeCracked:
WeCracked is committed to helping students learn and prepare for hackathons. We offer a unique approach to prizes through travel reimbursements for promising participants.
WeCracked Hackathons:
Our hackathons are designed to prepare you for future hackathons by providing valuable feedback from judges. Teams that excel in our hackathons will recieve future travel reimbursements credits.
Travel Reimbursement System:
Winners will receive travel credits that can be redeemed in your online portal on the WeCracked website. WeCracked will update your available credits in our internal system for you after you win one of our hackathons. To redeem your credits, simply upload a receipt of your travel expenses, and after review, the reimbursement will be sent to you via Venmo or Zelle.
Why Travel Reimbursements:
Rather than cash prizes, we offer travel reimbursements to dedicated students to lessen the financial burden of travel to non-local hackathons. This ensures funds directly support our goal and prevents misuse. Only active community contributors qualify, maintaining integrity and genuine involvement.
