We will NEVER forget...

We had a very sad and emotional weekend, one of our best horses died. Nic has had KC since he was 13 years old, he calf roped, headed and heeled off her. I heeled and break away roped, and ran some barrels on her, Sari goat tyed and Queened on her. Colby and Shelby pretty much just crawled all over her! Colby started roping off her last summer and learned a lot. We will never be able to replace her...we love you and will miss you very much KC! We will never forget...Goodbye to an old friend!

I want to be a Fire Fighter when I grow up!

Colby's 5th grade class had a career day and Colby picked a fire fighter. Which was really easy considering Nic and Grandpa Steve are both fire fighters!

Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree!

By the time trimmed the tree to fit in the house it was pretty skimpy looking! So called it our "charlie brown" tree! The decorations were so heavy that the tree almost tipped over so we had to tie it up! Oh well, its still cute!

Christmas Tree Hunting!

This year we had to go get our tree very early this year because of my surgery. We went 2 weeks before Thanksgiving! Our hometeachers were laughing at us and told us that it wasn't a Christmas tree it was a Halloween tree! But it made it and is doing well!

Happy Birthday Shelby!

Shelby turned 7 on the 12th of October, we had a party for her at the firestation. It was a lot of fun! Thanks to those who made the trip to come! She got the long anticipated Jasmine costume! She has been asking for one forever, I couldn't ever find one that was decent or not $50. Nic's sister Sari found her one, she was very excited and it fits her well!

Well it took a couple of times but Colby got his hunting license! He was so excited! He went grouse hunting with his dad! Good Job Bud!

The Big 30!

Nic turned 30 in August! We had a party for him, it was fun! Its late, but Hope you had a Happy Birthday, honey! You will always be older than me!

Pictures of the Muscular Dystrophy fund raiser in the Fair Parade this summer! We do this every year, the kids look forward to riding on top of the firetruck!

The kids slept outside most of the summer either on the trampoline or in their tent! They had a good summer! I don't know what to do with them though, when they are together they are constantly fighting! But this summer Shelby went and spent a few days with Sari in Blackfoot, Colby couldn't go because of baseball practice. Anyways, they missed each other so much, Shelby got a stomach ache, Colby would cry when you mentioned Shelby, they are funny!

4-Wheeling!

Nic "boulder bowling"! He told us its going to be a new olympic sport! He was just tuning his "skills"!

Its been a while since I have blogged! Busy summer! We did manage to go 4-wheeler riding with Beau and Ronni up Lightening Peak! It was a lot of fun! Thanks for going guys!

Birthday Wishes!

Colby's 10th birthday party at the firestation! Thanks to everyone who came! It was fun!

The Bear Lake tournament!

They took first place in their division at the tournament in Bear Lake! They were all very excited! It was very HOT!!

Calf Roping!

Grandpa helping Colby rope! He gets really nervous! He's on KC the horse that I usually rope off of and he told me I'll just watch you rope today mom! I told him that I was there to watch him rope, he's so funny! I asked him why don't you want to rope? He finally told me because when the horse stops hard I get the saddle horn in "not a good spot" is what he told me! It was funny! His dad told him that he will learn fast to sit down after you rope!

Getting everything just right! He sat in the box so long that KC fell asleep!

On this calf he got out ran! He is learning that it is a lot different on a horse than it is on the ground! He is having a hard time controlling the horse and roping all at once! But I'm sure he'll get it!

We had our first Allstar games over the holiday weekend in Driggs, Idaho! We barrowed Dayna and Trevor's camper and camped out on the football field, it was actually a lot of fun! The boys kinda had a hard weekend but I think that they had fun! Luckily it really wasn't that hot! Here are some pictures of the tournaments! They played 3 games on Friday and 1 game on Saturday morning!
