Third coat of paint second color....
I have had these shelves sitting in my living room for months now. My friend gave them to me. I was so excited. My original plan was to put them in my basement and organize all my fabric on them, but then when we moved them in the house I thought of all these other ideas and then wasn't really sure what I was going to do with them. So they sat.
Well, finally I have decided what to do! I can't wait, its going to look awesome! So here is my shelves before I painted them (and is missing the molding around the outside edge). My sweet hubby is helping me with this project. He was looking oh so cute cutting my wood I am needing for these.
So paint....I couldn't decide which color....I finally picked the color, but it showed too much of a pink in it. So I had to go and get more paint and I am loving the new color second time around, 3 coats later.
I will show you which paint color I picked....next time :) And hopefully a picture of it all finished by next week!

Fun in the Snow!
Well, we had lots of snow and Miss M and I were out shoveling....she started to shovel her a Maze in the drive way. That got me thinking of making a BIG heart and have Miss M lay in the middle and make a snow angel. She was so excited about it. She wanted me to send everyone the picture. She starts naming everyone she could think of, and then she says "Mom you can even put it on your blog!!!" (with a great big smile)
So here it is Miss M. Your cute picture!

Ski bums...
Mr. Snowboarder! They have been able to go 1-2 times every week. They are enjoying every minute of it. They are so funny when they are talking to each other about it. Comparing who does what, and who goes where on the mountain. Thanks to my Dad (Grandpa). He has really made it possible for them to enjoy there weekly trips to the mountains! I love my little ski bums!

ONE WEEK.....

IT HAS BEEN ONE WEEK!!! oops....I guess I missed that goal. OK, let me try this again. If anyone even believes me? My Biggest thing that is slowing my blogging is that I can't get my pictures from my camera to the computer. I don't like to post things without pictures. You have to have pictures! So here is a picture I took last spring. I can't wait for spring its my most very favorite time of year.
Miss M, she is always coming up with the funniest things. When she was about 3 or 4 she would always say a word and then make up her own definition of the word that had nothing to do with the word she was talking about. I loved it. It was so cute. I wish I would have saved all the words and her definitions and made a Miss M dictionary. That would have been Cute. So this week she was eating my homemade chicken noodle soup and tells me this "it's spicy!" then goes on to say that its "biting her tongue" asking me "Mom, what did you put in this soup?". I thought it was too cute. I guess I put too much pepper!
This week we went to a parents orientation meeting for Miss M's Kindergarten. It was about this new program that her school is starting this year. The program is a Chinese Immersion program. She will be learning Mandarin!! I was so thrilled to hear this great opportunity for her. So if she gets into the program she will be able to speak fluent Mandarin by the time she is in 6th grade. Half of her day will be taught to her in English while the other half of the day she will be taught in Chinese. I wish I could go to her school. :0)
We turned in all her paperwork and now we just wait to see if she gets in. They are only taking 54 students....so if more then 54 students want in then they will have to do a lottery. I am hoping they don't have to and she gets in. So keep your fingers crossed! She is so excited about it. I am excited she gets to have this as well. Something her very own that she can be so proud of. She loves to learn. She can 't wait to start school. She asks me everyday "how many more days until I start kindergarten" "do I start next week?"
Since she as found out that she is going to be learning Chinese. She tells everyone "Ni hao" that's hello in Chinese, and as for me and the hubby since we can't go to Miss M's school to learn Chinese too. We will be learning at home with Rosetta Stone.
"Zai jian"(goodbye)

Ok so its been awhile.....

OK so its been AWHILE!! Sorry!! If anyone is still here reading. I am making it a goal to post more. Like at least every other day. Do you think I can do it??? Lets give it a try. Here's to hoping I will post more consistent!
What have I been doing this whole month I took off from blogging......well lets see here. We had Christmas. Which was just lovely. Then New years. Yahoo. Fresh start again. New goals. (hoping my blogging gets better...teehee) Went to a bug exhibit with the kids. The kids got to touch a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach a millipede and watch a tarantula whose name is Rosalina Hairy Butt climb around on the bug guys hands. ewe. They had a blast. The kids have been Skiing and snowboarding with Grandpa and Daddy. Lots. I even went, its been 9 years. It was allot of fun to go with the kids and see them. They are awesome. They went faster then me down the hill. I sort of felt like a mother hen watching her ducklings to make sure they didn't get to far ahead of her. Which they did, cause they are better then me.
I have just recently started to Volunteer for Love Without Boundaries as the Nutrition Coordinator. I am so excited to be helping this great organization out. I have Sponsored a little girl in the Foster care program for nearly 4 years now. I am excited to be able to help out even more.
Big D had tryouts for Show team Karate....and made it!! We are so proud of him and can't wait to see him perform.
I got to go shopping at my most favorite store Anthropologie!! It was a blast.
Yesterday I went out with my hubby and some friends to dinner and a concert! Oh how we love to go to concerts. We we went to see Adele. It was a great concert. We even scalped our tickets for the very first time.
Fun times.
