WE ARE ALL TREATY PEOPLE

Wild Child Forest School acknowledges that our programs are run on the unceded territories of Mi’kma’ki, we recognize and honor the Mi’kmaq as the rightful and enduring caretakers of this territory, both in the past, present and future. We are dedicated to fostering a deep connection between children and the land through the principles of reconciliation, friendship, and collaboration with the Mi’kmaq people. By imparting the history and stories of the land, amplifying Mi’kmaq voices, and striving to make the program more accessible to Indigenous families, we are committed to establishing enduring partnerships with the Mi’kmaq community.
Our ultimate aim is for children to understand that we are not separate from the land; rather, we are inherently interconnected with it, and our actions upon it have far-reaching consequences.
