Team USA!
We are big fans of the Olympics! So this year, we decided to have some people over to watch the Opening Ceremonies. Each couple represented a country and they brought a dish to highlight that. We had a blast. I think the best part of it was seeing the 5 kids play together. To 2 youngest ones are just a day younger then Dallas. I can tell that my son is going to be really social, just like his mom. Go Team USA!
| I love how this picture captures each of their personalities! |
| It was fun doing all of the cooking and decorations. We made yummy Greek salad, Brazilian lemonade, and BBQ sliders. |

We're back!
So, it's been WAY to long since I posted something. My computer was acting up for awhile and then i went on strike because it took so long to load photos. But we're back, and life couldn't be better. Dallas is now 8 months old and he's grown so much! Here's the latest and greatest for the Hinsdale family.
Like I said, Dallas is 8 months, and the time has flown by! He is army crawling everywhere. He loves to be around me all of the time. Crawling was a big deal because he just follows me instead of crying. Dallas is also climbing on things. His favorite is his mom and stairs. We're getting into a ritual of him climbing the stairs before bedtime. That little boy is breathing hard through his proud smile when he finishes it, it's so cute. I've been going with a friend to this gymnastics class every week and I think that's where the motivation to climb came from. He has no fear of heights. Dallas is our social butterfly. He loves being around other kids. He'll touch and grab them to say hi or yell really loud (he also likes to say 'da da') During Sunday school one week, a 12 month old kid came to play with him. Dallas got so excited, he took the boy by the collar and slammed him down to the ground. Needless to say, the boy cried and Dallas didn't know what to do. Hopefully it doesn't become a problem for us in the future. Dallas loves solid food, he definitely has his daddy's stomach. Some foods it takes him awhile to get used to it, but he'll scarf pretty much anything. He's also sleeping about 12 hrs a night, which is great! I'm realizing more each day how lucky I am. We still don't have any teeth, so I'm hoping that when they do come it won't hurt the sleeping. Dallas loves to play with his mom and dad. We love to hear him laugh and is really sweet! I couldn't imagine life without him.
Will is still busy studying and getting ready for the CPA exam. He passed his last one, so he's got 2 tests left. We look forward to the day where we spend more then 1.5 hours a night with him. Work is still going great. His bosses continue to be amazed at his performance and work ethic. I am so grateful to have a husband that is patient and loving and puts up with my countless demands. It takes a special person to love me and I consider myself to be pretty lucky. Will is also the primary chorister in our ward. The kids love him. He not only teaches them primary songs, but the music theory behind it. I've had countless people tell me how much their kids enjoy him and how they appreciate him. I can't wait to see Will teach Dallas. Will is an amazing father. My favorite thing to do is watch them play together.
Life is good for me. I work 2.5 days at the salon. I feel like it recharges me from being with Dallas and also gives me enough time with him so I don't feel like I'm missing out. It's a huge blessing to have the occupation that I have and the flexibility that comes with it. I'm still the YW president. I'm learning a lot about myself and about the girls. Although the calling is a lot sometimes, I really do love it and will miss it when the time comes. I've also been working out every morning. I run over 3 miles 3 days a week and try to do some lifting the other 2 days. I've noticed that it really helps my back when I go to the gym. I'm not nursing Dallas anymore, he kinda decided to stop on his own. It was really hard at first, but I made it to 7 months and with work and everything else, that's a huge accomplishment. I'm in a good spot in my life right now. Sometimes I feel like I should be more stressed out then I am or that I need to step it up right now, but I think Heavenly Father is watching over me and really doing his part. I love being a mother. I love the confidence that it's given me, the ability to serve another, and the joy of looking into his eyes and knowing that Dallas is my child.

Easter Sunday. I made Dallas' tie :)
We went to Georgia to see Will's grandparents. We named Dallas after Grandad Hinsdale

2 months
Wow! I can't believe this little guy is 2 months already! It's gone by really fast and he's a handsome as ever. Dr. Weber says that Dallas looks great! He's about 14 pounds and 24 inches long. Percentile, I'm not sure where he is, but he's measuring great! His best friend continues to be the ceiling fan. His eye goes straight to it whenever we enter a room. He is still not a huge fan of tummy time, but he's tolerating it. One of my favorite things he's doing is talking. I'll sit with him and we'll have a long conversation. It makes my day. He's a happy baby most of the time and he melts my heart. Dallas is also holding his head up really good. He'll have blue eyes like his momma too. Sleeping is getting easier for us. He has a crying spell right around the time we're trying to put him to bed. It usually takes about an hour for him to settle down. Naps are good too. I can really tell the difference when he's been over at grandma's house. His schedule and environment get mixed up and it's quite the task to get him back into schedule. Sometimes its hard to justify going back to work for that reason. It'll all be worth it and click eventually.
As for us, Will took his first CPA test. Overall, he thinks he did good. We won't know for another month though. Now he's enjoying a little time off when he gets home although the time he does is getting later as busy season gets closer. He's hoping to take the other CPA test right around the end of busy season, so the studying will continue shortly. For me, I'm still in Young Womens trying to juggle everything on my plate. I love my calling and my work, it's kinda tricky to balance everything in the way that I want to. It's hard to be motivated, but I'm trying. Overall, life is good!

New Year Treat!

For Will and I, the best part of the holidays this year was all the family that we were able to see and be with. It included family from Idaho, Texas, and Utah. We quickly realized that it was the perfect opportunity to bless baby Dallas. So on New Years Day, that's what we did. It was the perfect way to start the new year. Dallas wore his Uncle Heath's blessing outfit that Nana made him (I had to get that bowtie on him). Will gave a beautiful blessing, I was told Dallas was alert the whole time. Afterwards, we had a luncheon at my parents house where we enjoyed each other's company. We snuck in a few pictures as well, including a four generation picture with Will's grandparents. Thank you to all for coming and supporting us on Dallas' big day, it meant a lot to us!
