We enjoyed a little family time on Stephen’s actual birthday.  I didn’t want to make a cake for us and for his party so for his birthday treat, we had root beer floats.

The friend party was fun.  The plan was to play in the sprinklers that day but due to the weather being what it was, that didn’t happen. Living in WA, there must always be a plan B.   No problem.  The boys had plenty of snacks and alternated moving watching, lego playing and trampoline jumping.  It was a great success!  Stephen is currently loving legos and is great at putting them together which is good as that is what every single gift was, per his request.  I am amazed that he did not get any duplicate sets.    Happy number 7  to our sweet, funny, smart, handsome little boy!!

Grape Expectations

This would be a bag of grapes dumped on my kitchen floor by the youngest Wally Pog- a floor which I believe was newly mopped.  Followed by the dumping was the stomping of grapes as if in an I Love Lucy episode.  I’ve asked it before and I ask it again-WHY do I mop my floor?????

Leprechaun Traps

Look at these creative little leprechaun traps fashioned by my children.  They do love to create with crafty supplies.  This is one of my favorite projects of the year to do with them.  The open face trap is Stephen’s and the stick ladder trap, Madison’s.  Even after creating this cute little vessel, I believe that Madison actually ended up using her trap from last year.  Silly girl.

LOVE Michael’s and their dollar baskets!  I bought this little plastic friend for Christopher thinking that it was just a blow up toy.  I took it out of the box and discovered that it is in fact a shower cap.  He wants nothing to do with it now but was a good sport and tried it on for a photo moment.

I can’t believe our baby girl has turned 8!  She’s all grown up and getting Caboodles and make up and wearing Hello Kitty shirts.

The birthday party was great fun.  Madison and her little friends watched Hello Kitty’s Furry Tail Theater and decorated letter magnets.    They also enjoyed a Hello Kitty cake which I had so much fun making!!  In case you hadn’t gotten the memo, she’s all over Hello Kitty.  This was last year’s birthday theme as well.

In March, Madison was baptized.  What a day.  I don’t know about Daddy but Mom was a little emotional.  How is my little girl this old?!!  It was so fun taking her to choose fabric for the dress she wore on baptism day.  She definitely knows what she likes.  She chose a white organza with silver glitter swirls over white satin and purple ribbon for the waist.  She looked adorable.  I wish I’d gotten a better picture of the dress.  This day also brought more gifts including her first set of scriptures.  So exciting for her!  I am so happy to have such a sweet, helpful, funny little girl.  She is a delight and we adore her!!

I love this picture of me, Madison, and Grandma Turner.  Grandma and Grandpa Wallace also made a trek out for the baptism.  It was good to have the Grandmas and Grandpas there.

School Is Cool September 26, 2011

Once again, school has begun!  All parties in the Wallace house are very excited about this!!  A few weeks before school began, the kids were even asking us to print out work for them to do.

This year, Madison is in 2nd grade while Stephen is in 1st.  It is amazing to me how quickly these kids are growing up.  They both like their teachers and each know kids in their classes.  I am confident that this is going to be a great year for all!!

While the kids enjoy another year of neurological stimulation, I am enjoying a little one on one with Christopher.  Coming up on his 2nd birthday, he too is growing so fast.  Where have all of my babies gone?

Here are a few pictures of the monumental first day of school, 2011.

Madison’s Twinkle Toes. They light up! She’s been asking for them for months. Both she and Christopher are enjoying them and they are FABULOUS!!
