Как сделать во FLASH скриптами версий начиная с 2-ой, так чтобы по нажатию клавиши Enter в компоненте TextInput вызывалась какая-нибудь функция ? Тоесть, мы там что-нибудь вводим, потом жмем ввод и вызывается некая функция.

thesis project -- need help
Submission Call:

I am collecting engagement rings and wedding rings or photos of them for my thesis project at NYU. This project will be displayed to the public in December in New York City during a exhibition in downtown. The project is an exploration of artifacts and the history behind them.

the saddest moment of your life..
I've started a new media project for my grad program and am in the process of collecting stories from peoples life..

The idea is this:
Everybody's got something, someone or a moment in their life where the story is more important than the object.


If any of you would like to add your story or share the link with friends other bloggers, etc.. please do so. The more content I can get the stronger this will be.

Kathy Sierra
Some of you may have heard of Kathy Sierra, programming author (she co-wrote many of the Head First books) and owner of the blog Creating Passionate Users.

She recently started recieving death threats on her blog, followed by a series of posts on other blogs, showing images of her with nooses etc. As a result she's cancelled many of her speaking engagements, as have many other bloggers in support of her.

I'm really outraged by this. I realise that cyber-bullying exists and can be very nasty, but this seems to be a whole step further. But then there are issues surrounding free speech on the web... A complicated matter.

Female Gamers & Tech Geekers
There has been conversation about women, tech and gaming.. I am curious outside of these "studies" how many women who currently use tech ie) LJ for purposes other than blogging?

The question is... how many women do you know of "game"? I.E. First-pointer shooters, strategy, real-time turn based games?

How many people do you know of that purchase new computer systems in order to play a game? And how many are women?

What do you use your computer primarily for?

How many computers do you have?

What type of an operating system do you use? (ie. PC, Mac, UNIX)

Selling?
Ok, this isn't an ad...

I have a two year old laptop that I'm wanting to sell(poor college student who needs money). It's a custom machine, mint condition, no scratches/dents/dings, never had a single crash. I'm wondering the best way to determine a price? I'm probably going to sell it on ebay, I just don't know how to go about determining a proper price to set the thing. New it was over $2200...

A long shot but...
Anyone out there know much about Ajax and memory leaks? Specifically in both IE and Firefox? Everything I Google has stuff about memory leaks in IE, but not Firefox.

I basically have some Ajax that uses the Prototype JavaScript library, and it's leaking like a bastard. It's OK for the first operation, but then it must be setting up some kind of event listener that leaks memory like crazy and slows down all other subsequent operations.

I have never dealt with memory leaks in browsers before, so any tips on how to track them down would be helpful!
