Recently, I noticed that the cumulative number of requests to my blog (jpmartel.quebec) had dropped from 21 million hits to approximately 130,000.

Based on data from web.archives.org, we can determine that this loss occurred between July 8, 2025 (21,795,149 hits) and August 12, 2025 (117,389 hits).

How can I recover the lost hits?

    Hi @jean-pierre-martel,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I understand your concern, and normally the total number of visitors and visits should never be removed. The plugin may optimize old data from time to time, but even then, your overall counts should remain intact.
    Please check this setting:
Statistics > Settings > Advance Options > Purge Old Data Daily
You can set it to “Never” to prevent any automatic data cleanup in the future.
At this point, the only way to recover your previous cumulative counts is to restore a backup from your hosting server, if one is available.
If you need help with anything else, I’m here to help.
    Best regards,
