• This is f’ing stupid. Talk about customer experience. I install this with all of the (fake) awesome reviews, and then what happens when I try to create a package?

I can’t because of some goofy:

    Fail [/wordpress/wp-snapshots]
    Fail [/wordpress/wp-snapshots/tmp]
    Warn [/wordpress/]
If the root WordPress path is not writable by PHP on some systems this can cause issues.
If Duplicator does not have enough permissions then you will need to manually create the paths above.

probably a directory that the plugin was supposed to create. Or whatever. So I go into my cpanel and create the folders, but no, that doesn’t work. So … dead in the water. Trying to find another backup and restore plugin that works out of the box. WordPress is an amazingly frustrating ecosystem.

  • Hi @sonoben

Sorry, you ran into issues! We didn’t see any requests for help in the forums or from the help ticket system. Let us know if you need any help, typically these issues are due to setup issues that the plugin is unable to determine from your environment. In this case, it looks like a permissions issue on your host is preventing you from creating the directory, which is the reason for the warning message.

We’ve had a lot of happy people as you can see from our ratings and downloads. Sometimes things can hit a snag but issues can often be overcome. We hope you can reconsider your vote and please reach out for help if you decide to try us again in the future.

    Thanks~

Don’t search further because Duplicator Pro is the best 😉
