Sorry for the late reply, I am assume you need the parent menu item to not to open a page when clicked? If that’s correct, go to Appearance → Customize → Header → Navigation, and enable the Click option instead of hover.

Hard to say, perhaps some plugin(s) or Block is doing that?
By default the WP loop uses the Publication Date, and most themes use that without any modifications including this one, perhaps there is a plugin or block settings somewhere? Even some code in a functions.php of a child theme (*), or perhaps those posts are featured now?

- You can find the options through Appearance → Customize → Header → Navigation, or you can just disable the WooCommerce plugin(s) if you do not need that.
- Appearance → Customize → Content → Layout.
- Header → Navigation.
- Pages → Edit.
- Install a plugin for the form and build your form (there are some free and extremely popular plugins such as Contact Form 7) then go to Pages → Add.

I think what you need is to just disable the comments system? There are plugins such as Disable Comments (it’s free) that would allow you to choose where and how to have them disabled, hence no such form in the footer.
