ah ok, thankyou for replying. I really hope you might consider making that happen as default behaviour in a future plugin update. Or maybe make it an admin option.

For these reasons :

• It is natural, logical behaviour for user avatar to be a link to user profile. This is already the case within the Better Messages conversation threads, in the Better Messages chatroom, everywhere in Buddypress, everywhere in WordPress blog, everywhere in bbpress forum. So the current “no profile link” in Conversation List is confusing to users.
• More important : my site is a dating site. Women receive lots of messages from men. The women want the ability to check out the profile of the sender of a new message, BEFORE they open the conversation and alert the sender that their message was read. ( two blue checkmark , message status). But because there is no profile link in the Conversation List, they must first open the conversation to click the profile link within. Not good.
