    Thanks for your help

    Hello

To find the cause of the malfunction (the content of the posts disappeared by enabling the tooltips) since your last update served to correct a malfunction caused by a special character in the text, which seems to me to be the “+” character, I did a test.
I exported the tooltips from the environment where I had the malfunction, to one where there were different tooltips and the display problem did not arise.
After exporting, by enabling tooltips, the posts were no longer seen even in the second environment.
This in my opinion indicates that there is a problem with characters in the tooltip text.

    Hi Günter

First of all, I wanted to thank you very much for the time you are dedicating to my problem 😃
I created and installed the custom plugin as you indicated, then I activated it, but now I can’t find it in the dashboard as a menu item, how I can execute it, perhaps it is called every time I open the dashboard? Where would it download the two files if it worked, in the uploads folder?

Forgive me, but I’m not an expert

    Hello Matthias Günter

I configured the global proxy for wget on the server, and I was able to wget the two files:
    https://ps.w.org/real-category-library-lite/trunk/README.txt)
downloading them normally. So the files are reachable.
Unfortunately I don’t know how to run the part of the code you indicated in “https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/download_url/ ” to test the download, I tried to create the php file of the code in the wordpress root , but it doesn’t run.

    Hello Matthias Günter

I disabled all other plugins, but the problem persists.
I’m behind a proxy, open to the internet, and normally updating all the other plugins doesn’t give problems in reaching external resources.

    Hi Wpgloe
The 5.2 version you just released fixes the image display problem, and all the other features can be used regularly as well.
Thank you very much for your assistance and for your time

    Hi Wpgloe

I was able to try the version of the plugin that you released on https://image-projector.com, and it solves the problem, the plugin must be configured not to load the svg in the page, by enabling the system setting of the plugin: “Do not insert in page, link to definition in file”
    Thank you !

    Hello Wpgloe

I can add some more information for the problem:

Using a wordpress monitor plugin indicates a problem for image-projector using a certificate for encryption.
Reading on the internet, I have found that some encryption algorithms have been made obsolete on new versions of wordpress and this could generate the problem that indicates monitoring.

    Here follow the monitoring messages:

Warningfile_get_contents(): SSL operation failed with code 1. Searching, I didn’t find the svg images of the keys in the plugin, maybe the images are on the internet and not in the plugin?
Because my site is behind proxies and probably can’t read them, that could be the reason!

Tried Firefox, Edge and Chrome, but no buttons!
Tried z-index vith value 10000, but no buttons!
I disabled fade out, but no buttons!
But the buttons are present on the page even if they are invisible, because moving the mouse changes the pointer and the labels of the buttons appear, and if I click, they work.

Hi, thank you for your time

Here is an image opened in wordpress via your plugin, but the on-screen buttons don’t appear

Sorry, I tried to fill out the “technical problems” request on the site: https://plugins.hirewebxperts.com/support/
to be able to access your staging site, and try the check you introduced on the plugin, but I am asked for a personal phone, which I do not intend to provide.

    Thanks for the help anyway
    Greetings

Thanks for taking the time to address these issues.
If you haven’t found the same problems trying to reproduce them in an environment similar to the one I described to you, maybe they could be due to a conflict with some other plugin installed in my WordPress.

Thanks for introducing the change in the plugin, I will try to verify it on your staging site.

    Thank you

    Hello!
    – WordPress is configurated to use the: Italian language

    – The plugin versions are:
    – Text Case Converter: 1.4.2

    – Classic Editor is: 1.6.2
    – There are also:
    – Advanced Editor Tools (TinyMCE Advanced): 5.6.0
    – Advanced TinyMCE Configuration: 1.6

Maybe, I don’t know if possible, the change case should be enabled only if the text area is selected or has the “focus” for editing, and only in this case, if nothing has been selected, ask for confirmation to change the case of all the text.

    Thank you

Thank you very much for your answer.
I don’t know how to add video or a printscreen but I wil try to explain better (sorry for my english) I use WordPress 5.8.3.

    – First problem: if I open any post using the “classic editor”, and without clicking in the text area of the post, press the Uppercase or Lowercase button (of the plugin) by mistake, all the content of the post disappears, and it is not possible to recover it, the button CTRL + Z is not active. To recover the initial post, I must close the post without updating it, and reopen it.

    – Second problem: as above, I open any post via “classic editor”, but now I click in the post text area without selecting anything, if I accidentally press the Uppercase or Lowercase button (of the plugin), all the content changes in Uppercase / Lowercase, but I can’t go back because the CTRL + Z key is not active, (otherwise it would be, as you say, a very usefull function to convert all the content) as above to recover the situation, I have to close the post without updating it, and reopen it.

During normal work, if I forget these two “behavior” I could loose all the content not saved.
