[fourth petal] [video/action for Violet]
Mar. 10th, 2011 07:58 pm[Here's Aki, sitting in the Pokemon Center in Violet. She's idly stroking Mack, Rua's Espeon.]
...Even if they're not here anymore, it won't change anything. We'll stay connected, no matter what, even beyond physical distance.
I know that instead of dwelling on and living in the past, people should live more for the future's sake. If you involve yourself too much with the past and what-ifs, you stop being able to move forward. And if you abandon your hope for the future, you'll find eventually that the past is just the past, and that you'll end up stagnating. And then it can turn into obsession, for that matter -- obsession with revenge, compensation, or atonement. Isn't it always better to just live and learn, than to try and find a way to roll the dice again when you don't even know how they'll land in the first place?
Nothing in the future is ever etched in stone.
[Pause. She seems to consider shutting off the gear for a moment before putting out one last question.]
And a small question on the side for anyone who cares to answer. What do you think is the nature of your powers, if you had any? Or the powers of someone else, if not your own?
[Private text to Crow]
Thank you. I'm glad to know I can always count on you.

[Aki's attention is simultaneously divided between the PC at Goldenrod, the camera situated on a side table, and keeping an eye on the Budew toddling around the floor.]
I've decided to go to Ecruteak with Crow and put off the gyms for a while, since it's safer to do things that way now that Yuusei and Jack are gone. I'd like to know who else is going with us, if possible.
--Primula, don't even think about going outside. It's too cold for you.
[Still, despite the warning, the little Budew watches people mill in and out of the Center curiously, getting hit with a blast of cold air when the door slides open and squeaking as a result each time it happens.]
I also found Rua's Espeon in the storage box earlier. I'm not sure why, but it seems someone else had been taking care of him before leaving, too. Mack, I think he called it...
[The ball drops into the slot on the console when Aki issues the command to withdraw the Pokemon. She opens it, and suddenly, there sits a psychic fork-tailed carbuncle-thing.]
Mack... I'm sorry you had to wait so long. Your trainer is gone, I'm afraid, so I've decided I'll take care of you from now on.
[Aki offers her hand to the Espeon, who starts its inspection. She muses to herself a bit as it carefully accepts her and lowers its head for pattings. Primula wanders over at this point, practically tripping over herself in her haste to go meet the elegant new friend.]
You're a Psychic-type, aren't you? It looks like Rua trained you very well... I think we can get along just fine, in that case.
((OOC: And if we're not in Goldenrod anymore, this is backdated to when we were! |D Also idk anything about Rua's Espeon other than it has a hasty nature, soooo... um, yeah.))

[Aki seems hesitant to be posing the question on her mind, but then resolves to just come out with it.]
...What does one who has an affinity for Grass-types do when considering challenging Falkner of Violet City? It doesn't seem easy to defeat him, but even less so when your chosen specialty has a clear weakness against him. Is there really nothing else I can do save for catching one of those "Mareep" creatures I've heard about?
--And since I'm thinking of it, the number of people who genuinely have no idea what snow is is a little amazing. Do so many places really never get any at all?
[Sheltered rich-girl upbringing is kicking in for a moment. Then, slowly, almost in a grumble:] ...But I don't like it much, myself. I know I can safely say the same for my Pokemon, as well.

[So, first things first, the young woman's face on the communicator looks like the one in the icon -- wide-eyed and utterly perplexed.]
...What in the world is this all about...?
[She glances down with a strange expression on her features, tilting the camera towards the Chikorita rubbing up against her legs nonstop like an affectionate cat.]
This creature... it's a plant of some sort? It has a leaf growing out of its head. But it's not a Duel Monster, is it? I have no idea why it's so attached to me... it's too strange to be a pet. And just what is this place, anyway? The map function of this device only shows a few towns I've never heard of, and I can't find a way to zoom out. Or maybe it's so old-fashioned it doesn't have a zooming feature to begin with. But then, why the outdated technology in the first place?
I-- Yuusei, can you hear me? Jack? Crow? Rua? Ruka? ...Papa?
...Someone?
[A hesitant pause, and then:] I'm not alone here, am I? Please, if someone can hear me, I need to get back to Neo Domino City as soon as possible.
