OUR FAMILY VACATION TO OCEANSIDE, CA

We spent last week roaming around San Diego. We rented a condo in Oceanside and enjoyed every minute. The weather was great and the water was even better.

This is a picture of one of the waterfalls within the condo complex. The grounds were very green and well maintained.

On the main level of the condo was a large pond which contained large Koi fish. Zach and Ally found a way to bypass the railing and get up close and personal with these fish.

This is the Oceanside pier right at dusk. Our condo was about 75 yards from the water and the pier was just on the other side of the beach. The building at the end of the pier houses a 50's diner which we ate at for fun one evening. While we waited for our table, there were some fishermen pulling in various types of fish and a couple of sand sharks.

The San Diego Temple is having some work done on the outside. When it rains, water is leaking into the temple.

Grandpa Elder Redford borrowed Krissa's hat and she wasn't in the sharing mood....

We had a fun visit at the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center in Old Town, CA. They have done quite a bit of work on this center. It was very well done and the kids really enjoyed visiting.

We celebrated Ally, Grandma and Grandpa's birthdays at La Jolla beach the Saturday we arrived.

There was a 'Strawberry' tree at the San Diego Temple. The tree produced these red fruits which looked and tasted similar to strawberry's.

Uncle Lans was put to work at the Mormon Battalion brick yard.
