I live in Connecticut and have Comcast digital cable. I was prowling around last night in my onDemand in the "Free Movies" section and found that "Under the Mistletoe" with Michael Shanks and Jaime Ray Newman was available!
I don't know if its available onDemand anywhere else but it might be worth a looksee :D

I just spent the day getting myself squared away to go to college starting with the January term. I felt VERY FREAKIN' OLD walking around that thar campus. But I'm psyched. I'm taking a full course load (5 classes/15 credits) and my stomach hurts at the cost of not only tuition but textbooks - what is UP with that?
And do the college bookstores think people are stupid? They want to charge me $65 for one USED paperback manual when I can buy the same damn book on Amazon for $45 NEW. In fact I priced it all out - I'm able to get all my required textbooks online for about half of what it would cost me going through the bookstore, and that's buying all new books (I'm sort of anal about that).
So I be a student. o.O I don't know whether to be excited or terrified!

The amount of feedback I'm getting for "Just Be Careful" is really surprising me, I had a ton of emails this morning. Something is apparently clicking with fic readers. I love that I've gotten a bunch that say they normally only read McShep or J/D but that they could like the Jack/John pairing because of how I wrote it.
My ego has been wonderfully stroked this morning. *VBG*
On the flip side- to the troll that hates "Cadman's Choice" - I get it, really. No need to keep sending me emails full of rage that it's not labeled as a rape!fic. Sorry, sister, but it's labeled as dub-con and dub-con it shall stay. Keep it up and I will be forced to send you pages of educational links detailing the difference between dub-con, non-con, and rape along with the definition of "consent" in 72pt font.

I'm 6500 words into this thing and it's gone off in places in directions I didn't anticipate but that I really like (ie the Sheppard-Jack scene).
lol.... I'm pretty sure this is going to be another one of my fics that no one reads- 1) it's het; 2) it's SGA and not McShep; 3) it's Sam/Ronon; 4) it's SGA and not fluffy and covered in rainbows. Oh well ;)

So.... got a big ol'plot splat from the plot fairy earlier today and I'm about 3300 words into a hinky, SGA, Sam Carter/Ronon Dex fic. Where the hell this came from I'll never know. But it's awesome...

Since January 1st I've lost 36lbs. SO freakin' awesome! And the nice thing is I'm not starving. This listening to my body thing really seems to be working!!!
