Black history is American history. Its stories are often overlooked or distorted, not receiving the attention they deserve. On the 100th anniversary of Carter G. Woodson’s Black History observances, please join us for a discussion of some of the issues and trends in the historiography of Black history.

Paul Hamilton, who curated our Black History Month display, will be available to chat in the Quiet Study room from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during February with anyone who has questions, comments, or reflections about the display or related topics of interest.

A group discussion will take place in the Large Meeting room from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14. Register for that event here.
