Applications
Space is a challenging and unforgiving environment into which our fluxgate magnetometers venture. Our sensors are important to upcoming deep space missions, including spacecraft that will orbit Earth (MagQuest) and land on the Moon (Lunar Vertex). Supporting missions on the ground, our Helmholtz Coil systems ensure accurate calibration of relevant equipment.
Lunar Vertex Mission
Our Mag566 sensors are heading to the Moon as part of the Lunar Vertex mission, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
MagQuest Mission
Bartington is designing ang building a fluxgate magnetometer for Iota Technology’s CubeSat Io-1 satellite. MagQuest is a mission to map the Earth’s magnetic field and update the World Magnetic Model.
