Status page for communications about issues and outages

The Center for High Performance Computing has a status page, which it will use to provide updates on maintenance periods and issues moving forward.

Reminder: Updates to shared and exclusive partitions

Node sharing is now the default behavior on all clusters. This update may require changes to your Slurm scripts, but it reduces system complexity and improves consistency.

CHPC AI assistant available

The CHPC AI assistant is now available at assistant.chpc.utah.edu. The assistant, which is accessible from university networks, is trained on the CHPC documentation.

CHPC hosting PSC's HPC Monthly Workshop: Machine Learning and Big Data on February 11 and 13

The CHPC will host the HPC Monthly Workshop on Machine Learning and Big Data, presented by the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, on Wednesday, February 11 and Friday, February 13. The event requires in-person participation at the INSCC building.

AI/Machine Learning Education Series, hosted by NVIDIA, Mark III Systems, and CU Boulder Research Computing

NVIDIA, Mark III Systems, and CU Boulder Research Computing are co-hosting an AI/Machine Learning Education Series for CU Boulder and its greater community, including RMACC members like the University of Utah, for Spring 2026.
