COLOP was founded in 1981 by Karl Skopek in Wels and produces the majority of its stamp products at its headquarters in Austria and at a second site in the Czech Republic. In total, more than 120 export markets are regularly supplied, the export rate is over 98 percent. The company employs more than 500 people worldwide, about 200 of them in Austria. 

 

COLOP is active in two business segments: 

COLOP is active in two business areas: COLOP Traditional focuses on the production and distribution of modern self-inking stamps and text plate production materials for professional use. COLOP Creative offers innovative, digital-based products such as mobile printers and an extensive range of creative stamps for the gift and hobby sector.

The worldwide distribution network has been consolidated in recent years through companies and participations in 14 countries (Austria, Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, France, Bulgaria, Belgium, Poland, Spain, India and USA).
