Who We Are
The Climate Positive Europe Alliance AISBL (CPEA) is an independent Think and Do Tank based in Brussels.
Our work follows a pan-European approach, building a bridge between policy and practice.
Our built environment vision is just as much about the environment as it is about economic viability and people.
Our Commitment
We want to accelerate market transformation towards a sustainable, zero-carbon built environment that is fully aligned with the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Our Climate Positive Goal
We want to raise levels of ambition that not only go beyond today’s sectoral culture, practices and policies but also beyond achieving net-zero carbon emissions targets.
What We Do

- We advise EU policy-makers about the market impact of policy initiatives
- We draw upon our wide network of technical experts from all across Europe

To meet the ambitious targets of the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, collaboration is essential. CPEA is committed to fostering these vital alliances and actively engages in numerous partnerships to drive sustainable progress. See below an overview of our partnerships and how they contribute to our shared mission.
Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC)
The Global Alliance on Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) is a UN-led initiative aiming to accelerate the decarbonization of the building sector globally. It brings together governments, industry leaders, and organizations to promote sustainable building practices, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce emissions. By fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and providing policy support, GlobalABC strives to transform the building sector into a key driver of climate action and sustainable development worldwide.
New European Bauhaus
The New European Bauhaus is an initiative by the European Commission that aims to merge sustainability, inclusivity, and aesthetics to create beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive living spaces. It draws inspiration from the original Bauhaus movement, focusing on the synergy between science, technology, art, and culture. By partnering with diverse stakeholders, it seeks to foster innovative solutions for the built environment, addressing climate challenges and improving the quality of life across Europe.
#WaterWiseEU
CPEA supports the EU’s #WaterWiseEU campaign. The campaign promotes sustainable water management across Europe, addressing challenges like water scarcity, pollution, and climate change impacts on water resources. It advocates for responsible water use, innovative conservation solutions, and heightened public awareness of water’s critical role in ecosystems and human health. By endorsing #WaterWiseEU, CPEA can contribute to shaping effective water policies, fostering environmental sustainability, and promoting best practices across Europe.
