The aim of this programme is to enable pharmacy professionals to acquire the knowledge, develop the skills and demonstrate the behaviours needed to provide high-quality emergency contraception services as part of their pharmacy practice. It is an opportunity to hear from an expert in contraception and sexual health, to reflect on your current practice and share with your colleagues.
Please note: The FSRH Guideline Emergency Contraception have agreed a recommendation that there is no need to avoid breastfeeding after taking a single dose of UPA-EC. See FSRH Statement: Ulipristal Acetate and Breastfeeding (Jan 2025) | FSRH for further detail. We will amend this programme to reflect this in our next scheduled update.
The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) has changed its name to The College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH). We will amend the name in our programmes during our annual review process. Guidance can be accessed on the CoSRH website.
The College of Sexual and reproductive healthcare updated the UK Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use (UKMEC) on 5th December 2025. We are in the process of updating our learning to incorporate this.

This will enable you to support people with a learning disability to optimise their medicines, health and wellbeing. It will also help you ensure that people with a learning disability have a review of psychotropic medicines and, if appropriate, a gradual reduction and withdrawal of medicines.

This webinar is a panel discussion lasting for one hour including representatives from NHSE, Community Pharmacy England (CPE) and pharmacists delivering the contraception service to answer any questions that were raised during the face-to-face workshops that link to best practice service delivery. This webinar now also includes emergency contraception, which was added to the Pharmacy Contraception Service in 2025. The sessions are open access and are available to all pharmacy professionals involved in service delivery, and are being recorded to use to support service delivery moving forwards.

This residential workshop is only for pharmacy professionals who are taking part in Primary care pharmacy education pathway.
This two-day residential workshop is part of four days covering essential topics for pharmacy professionals working in primary care. It will help you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to carry out effective communication and consultations and will introduce history taking and clinical assessment skills. It is intended for those new to the role and those with experience of working in primary care.
You need to attend all four days to complete the module.
This is a residential workshop, so CPPE will provide dinner and your overnight accommodation between days 3 and 4. This means you are ready to begin day 4 at 8:30am and gives you the opportunity to get to know your colleagues on the pathway.
