Prix Aurora Awards

Since 1980, the Prix Aurora Awards celebrate the best of Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy, thanks to the nominations and votes of fans.

CSFFA Hall of Fame

Since 2014, the CSFFA Hall of Fame honours Canadians who have made great contributions to the genre of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Our 2025 inductees are Clint Budd, Charles R. Saunders and Diane L. Walton.

Our calendar of activities for the 2026 Aurora Awards

  • November-February: Aurora Awards Eligibility gathering period – Members can bring eligible creators and works to our attention so that they can be included in the eligibility list.
    • Eligibility lists closed on February 21
  • March-April: Aurora Awards Nomination period – Members can select creators and works from the eligibility list and nominate them for the Aurora Awards categories
    • Nominations open on February 28 and close on April 4
  • May-June: CSFFA Annual General Meeting – Members vote on the administration of the Association.
    • Voting on AGM motions close on May 30.
    • The Annual General Meeting takes place on May 31.
  • June-July: Aurora Awards Voting period – Members can vote for the creators and works shortlisted during the nomination period. Announcement of the CSFFA Hall of Fame Inductees.
    • Voting opens on June 6 and closes on July 18
    • The 2026 CSFFA Hall of Fame Inductees are announced on July 1.
    • Purchasing a CSFFA membership for 2026 closes on July 11.
  • August: Aurora Awards ceremony – Winning creators and works will be revealed during the online Aurora Awards ceremony on Sunday, August 9th, live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn
