Simply Jane

Jane Austen, one of the most well-loved female authors in history. She finished only six novels, but once released, they were never out of print. Her witticism, sharp eye for what was going on in social settings and her love for romance impressed kings and the public alike - and it still does. Many still draw inspiration from the characters Jane so lovingly created, with flaws and a sense of humanity which makes us love them even more.

This month we celebrate her life with the bicentennial of her death on July 18th. Jane put down her quill exactly four months before her passing, knowing she would not write again. However, her legacy lives on and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you for every drop of ink you left on paper, Jane.
