The first ever "Be a Critic Contest" ended at 12am CST this morning! Thank you to all of the participants for going out into the community and offering your help and criticism. The response from the community seemed generally very accepting, except for a couple of people who I saw haven't read the guide on accepting critique yet! But you guys did an excellent job as ambassadors for the literary community and I'm proud of you all.
So, here are the winners:

First place goes to
mode-de-vie, with the largest number of critiques (A whopping 36! IN ONE WEEK!) That's about five critiques per day, well read pieces, her criticisms are full of enthusiasm and generosity, while also fearless in the face of suggesting to an artist how to better their work. Bravo, and a well deserved first place!

Second place goes to
nycterent, with 24 total criticisms posted. If there were a prize for quality, this deviant would have gotten it. His meticulous attention to detail and awareness of the poetic form left lots of works on the site with a full editing session. He handled animosity with grace and responded to every comment and question his critiques caused. Great job,
nycterent!

Third place goes to
ikklesammy, who could be a cheerleader for "short and sweet". While each critique wasn't as long or detailed as the two other winners,
ikklesammy made sure to stick to the guidelines, churning out 21 critiques in a week of time. This deviant ALWAYS said "thanks" to the artists and in the meantime was also keeping up with the art community, making comments on apparently all of her watched list and plenty of others. Great job,
ikklesammy!
Thanks to all deviants who participated, I hope that you enjoyed it even if you didn't win, and don't forget to congratulate the winners on their deviousness.
