Those MMD users watching me, anyone possibly interested in some sorta "basic shapes" pack? Like, cube, plane, orb, bowl, stick, pole, heart, star, stairs, plain "skybox", such sorta stuff - all with morphs for scale, colors, autoluminous, shading etc. I haven't even gotten started with such a pack yet, wondering if anyone would have use for it to begin with.

There's a "Muted tags" system on DA! Unfortunately not everyone fills the tags properly buuut hey, this works for art that's tagged properly at the very least.

1) On any page on DA hover over your icon next to the [+ Submit] button and go to "Account Settings" near the bottom of the list that pops up.

2) On the left, go to Personal > Browsing

3) Muted tags are here!

Try adding tags such as aiart, dreamup, ai_art, ai_generated, stablediffusion, stablediffusionart, dreamupprompt, novelai, and maybe even just ai there. Muting the two letter word "ai" miiight disable some characters named that from appearing, but hey.

I hate the new notification system, I won't be clicking each notification off individually, meaning they will stack up, meaning I will be missing stuff going forward.

Random tips and stuff for customizing models or when you make your own:

-Models appear red/purple in Blender because it can't find toon files. If your model has a custom toon it'll appear properly in Blender, ooor you can just delete the use of any toons.

-Bone orientations (not visible, only when rotating) are weird after making them to models and then trying to bring the model to MMD. This can also appear with some conversion shenanigans. To fix this, in PMXEditor and PMXView select all bones and do Edit -> Bone -> Set Local Axis

-Doing a lazy and quick cel shaded look can be done by giving your model a high res toon file (like, 256x) and then just turning of self shadow in MMD. The shadows aren't accurate, but the effect might be desirable otherwise.

-To give your model a more intense shading do a new material morph, copy all the materials into the morph list, select everything there and edit every material at once. Select Multiply all, All 1, and set the first three values in Toon row to 0.

-In MMD, you can push any sliders/morphs past 1.000 by just manually typing the value in. You can go to negative values too.

-To quickly convert XPS files to MMD, use "Xnalara to MMD Converter" by mariokart64n. This doesn't work if Xnalara model doesn't have the xps.xps file though, in which case you're going to go another way, and I recommend Blender with not just MMD tools addon, but also XPS tools addon.

-For a good while I used to wonder why MMD Tools isn't letting me export. So, to ready a Blender model for MMD, select the armature and with MMD tools do "Convert model". Now just select everything (uh, armature, object, and that "New MMD Model" thing) and you're ready to export.
