I recently created some comic book sample art for my portfolio.  I wrote and illustrated a 10 page story and did 3 covers as well.  The comic is entitled Marvel Zooniverse, it was a concept I had of taking Spider-Ham's Universe and focusing on other characters that inhabit the universe as well.  They are funny animal parodies of heroes of the Marvel U. their stories and origins would parody those of the original Marvel Universe as well.  The story that I did tells the origin of Iron Mouse. I created the art using 3D modeling programs as well as 2D painting and illustrating programs.  Please take a look at the art and read the story and give me your feedback.

Over the past year I have been transitioning from a traditional sculptor to a digital sculptor.  Well the transition has gone well.  Using Maya and Zbrush, I finished my first 3D sculpted and 3D printed statue a few months ago.  It was a Thor statue for Upper Deck.  I posted a brief step by step process of my first digitally sculpted statue from initial design to the final resin parts in my gallery.  You can compare this digital process to the traditionally sculpted Wolverine statue in my gallery as well.  I've wanted to create a 3D printed piece for years but it seemed that the modeling technology just wasn't very intuitive yet, that was until I discovered Zbrush.  It is an amazingly powerful modeling program and has really made my dream come true.  Digital sculpting, to me, is much more versatile then traditional and it opens the door to new opportunities to sculptors.  The other reason that I wanted to transition to digital is because I've wanted to create Comic art and illustrations with my sculptures for a long time.  3D modeling seems to be the best solution to accomplish this viably.  I hope you enjoy my step by step and I will be posting much more in the future.

Hi,  It's been a while since I last posted anything, but I am finally putting up some new pics of the Venom 1:1 Bust that I designed, sculpted and painted for Upper Deck.  I hope you like it.
