so has been a very very long time since i have been here or submitted anything...not going to really catch up as sooo much has gone on and is still continuing to do so, so i think ill just start from here and see where we end up...
just looking at how many Deviations i have to go through is a little off putting....over 13,000 eeeeeep!!!
well here's hoping i get back into it...gotta say i have kind of ventured away from DA due to its content/those submitting work not being of an artistic nature but rather using it as a social network site rather than an artistic place to share and network....so here's hoping its changed a little???? or at least am able to filter it out....im not an artsy fartsy person but amateur shots of cocks and cunts isnt why i became a member of this site in particular... XP
anyhooo...
lets see how long i can commit...im sure once i get the net back on my own computer it might make things a little easier... ^_^

Things have been very interesting to say the least in my world, busy, fun, crazy, hectic, trying but am pushing through to the other side...and just looking forward to a few things - including my first ever escape overseas (although it will be with family-am thoroughly looking forward to it)...Rome, Italy, Paris, Florence, UK and Scotland watch out..!!
Just a quick note...
Selling a few prints i have had around the place in storage, they need loving new homes - also need to pay off a camera loan i now have over my head due to my previous one dying mid shoot quite a few months ago.
Am now the proud owner of a Nikon D700 - although still have a lot to learn with it as i still havent had the chance to sit and play like i would like to, due to being so busy. But busy is good. And have quite a few exciting projects in the making so keep your eyes peeled.
So if you would like some prints, or see any of my work that interests you - please let me know.

Hi ya....been a while i know...
Finally getting to collaborate with some amazing artists in inspirational people, which is both helping me to broaden my understanding of different processes and techniques as well as having the ability to bounce ideas off others with similar outlooks/understandings and appreciations for what i am wanting to gain in my work as both an artist and photographer...not to mention some much needed discipline...
My first major collaboration with the amazing Mr IC Pool
is finally in its last stages of completion... 
entitled 'Flesh'
Flesh is the first collaboration by two unique Brisbane Artists- Holy Green Cow holygreencow.com/index.html and Clarissa Bones rawbonesphotography.com/ under the name:
- IC BONES -
This collaborative series of photographs seeks to re-contextualise the classic nudes of 15th century renaissance into a postmodern digitally sterile world.
Subtle evoking the vanitas symbolism of Dutch masters, the images seek to remind us that whilst 'Everything is Meaningless', the colourful seeded fruits herald that life will go on... regardless.
Beyond this contrast between Life and Death, Flesh also exposes the raw textual qualities of the flesh of both 'fruits'... as exotic, succulent and enticing - fruit of the flesh and fruit of the earth.

This joint venture brings together the artistic talents of Holy Green Cow and Clarissa Bones in a way that showcases the best of both unique artist.
Proof that the sum can indeed be greater than the two parts.

but glad i did...
have a heap of new work to get through and publish for your eyes to bleed over so keep on the lookout...will get them up hopefully soon.
for now i just might go lay down again for a bit and get my brain back in working order...
hope you all had a great xmas and with the new year just around the corner here's to new experiences and hopefully a pleasant 2010...
