judging from my last entry, i guess i sort of neglected deviantart for some time..., like five years. anyway, last november, i finished studying and am still looking for a job. but anyway, i'm not the kind of journal-person, so i think i will keep on updating this journal here as sporadically as in the past.

so, i finally did it. last thursday and friday, i participated in the final test at the university. it was really hard work, but in the end, i walked out with quite a good feeling. there were 68 other appliants, and they take, well i think about 40 of those. so my chances aren't that bad.
well, i did my best, hope it was enough.

three weeks ago, i applied at a university of "applied" sciences for design, as i have already done three times before. you have to pass a series of tests in order to be allowed to study there, and until now, i've always failed, which was very, very frustrating. first thing is, you have to send in some of your works, which are evaluated by a group of teachers. if they like it, you pass. if they don't like it, you don't. well, finally i seem to have hit their tastes, as i have "survived" the first trial and i am invited to the second test in january.
maybe i will study after all...

my brother keeps telling me, that everything i do is more or less worthless. his reason for saying so is, that my work, which i partially submit here at DA will not help me in my job later. he says, that there is no communicative aspect in most of my pictures, and i fear, that he is right. maybe i've got the wrong attitude towards working. that is, i mostly begin fiddling around in photoshop, then look at the results and give it whatever title fits best.
so there is no communication between my pics and the viewer, whatsoever. that wouldn't be much of a problem, just for the little thing, that i WANT to earn my money with designing later on.
so what now?
