I thought this BG remaster sounded pretty good until a friend gave me his 1987 DMM Masterdisk pressing. It blows my BG away. More tight bass and sparkling highs.

This is my third copy of this specific pressing. I probably have 6-7 different pressing os this LP. I guess you can say I'm a fan of this LP by U2. I would consider it their best album. This Allied DMM pressing sounds fantastic! This copy is VG+, and after cleaning it on my RCM, it is extremely quiet. No noise between tracks and the sound is amazing. Full wide soundstage with excellent stereo separation. The lows are controlled and tight with no boominess. Bono's vocal's are clear and detailed. All instruments are very clean and sharp with no sibilence. So needless to say the highs are excellent. Overall, this pressing is very well done. In this condition, you should be able to pick up a copy for around $25 - $35. Well worth it for one of the best LPs of all time.

The remastered CD edition of The Joshua Tree sounds excellent and feels like a respectful refresh of a true classic. The clarity is noticeably improved, with cleaner highs, a more defined low end, and better separation between instruments. The album’s spacious production — so crucial to its identity — remains intact, and tracks like “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “With or Without You,” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” sound powerful and emotionally direct.

On CD, the remaster highlights details that can get lost on older digital editions: subtle guitar textures, background vocals, and ambient layers come through clearly without overwhelming the mix. It’s polished, balanced, and very listenable, making it a great everyday version of the album.

On my copy the Matrix/Runouts are as in the matte cover version with the printer on the back cover. I bought mine at the store where I worked when it was released, on the day in 1987. The inner sleeve is plain white and I've written the date and the store name on it. So is there several sleeves with the same vinyl variations?

Just acquired this a few days ago. Wow! This is a beautiful sounding vinyl. Its like hearing this album for the first time again, and just brings it home what an amazing album this is. The depth of sound during WOWY is one thing that struck me the most

After running my copy through my degritter, which I do before playing any new record, I must say I’m quite surprised at the other comments regarding noise. As with any coloured vinyl you can expect a small amount of noise, but I’m really impressed with this pressing. Give it a clean and try again. No issues here and over the moon with this classic U2 album, one of the best in my opinion! Love this album

Got a still-sealed new copy of this from a seller on Etsy, of all places -- my fourth copy of this release over the years. I've had it on CD for ages, including a BMG Club version, the 20th Anniversary box set and the MFSL gold disc release. This sounds as good as any of those and I always wanted this on vinyl - I'll pull this out to listen to from time to time. If you can find a clean, hardly used copy of this for $20USD or less, grab it.
