EG Group appoints Roland Smith as Chairman

January 19, 2026 – EG Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Roland Smith as Chairman to succeed Lord Stuart Rose, effective today. Stuart will remain a member of EG Group’s Board as a Non-Executive Director to provide continued strategic counsel to the business.

EG Group completes sale of Italian business

 

December 15, 2025 – EG Group has today completed the sale of its Italian business (“EG Italia”) to a consortium of established Italian operators comprising PAD Multienergy S.p.A, Vega Carburanti S.p.A, Toil S.p.A, Dilella Invest S.p.A and GIAP s.r.l following approval from the Italian Competition Authority. This transaction values EG Italia at an enterprise value of €425 million.

EG Group divests Cooplands business

October 1, 2025 – EG Group, a leading international operator of convenience retail, foodservice and fuel stations, today announces that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Cooplands business to a team of investors based in Yorkshire, UK. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
