ESCoP is a dynamic scientific society that provides a venue within which current research in cognitive psychology and neighboring disciplines can be presented, discussed and encouraged.

What does ESCoP do?

ESCOP promotes new research initiatives, supports a European research-base through summer school programmes in which students can learn about state-of-the-art developments, holds conferences for the presentation of research and maintains a leading academic journal as an outlet for research findings. Call for papers for a special issue of British Journal of Developmental Psychology: Citizen science in developmental psychology research

Josie Booth (The University of Edinburgh) and Eva Van den Bussche (KU Leuven) are guest editing a special issue of British Journal of Developmental Psychology on "Citizen Science in developmental psychology research". Call for Submissions: Joint ESCoP-CoPM Meeting 2026 – Hangzhou, China

Submissions are now open for the Joint ESCoP-CoPM Meeting 2026, held from August 31 to September 4, 2026, in Hangzhou, China. Organized by the European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP) and the Cognitive Psychology Meeting (CoPM), we invite proposals for symposia, individual oral presentations, and posters until the deadline on March 15, 2026. All submissions must adhere to a 150-character limit for titles and a 1,250-character limit for abstracts.

ESCoP as a Founding Member of the European Consortium for Psychological Science
