Welcome to Friday Flash Fiction

LATEST NEWS

Friday Flash Fiction has now ceased to operate.

We'd like to thank everyone who supported us, submitted to us, or who read our stories at any point over the past dozen years or so.

All good things come to an end sometime.

The winner of the (final) 2025 Christmas Contest was
Graeme Copland, The Invisible Man

The final Editor's Choice was
Paula Nicholson, In a Christmas Frazzle

Well done to both. This site will become the 2013-2025 archive only.

Welcome to the home of Friday Flash Fiction, the site for writers who can cram an entire story into 100 words. From 2013, we published great short fiction from all over the world.

The essential challenge of Friday Flash Fiction was to write a fresh new story of 100 words (or just under) in time for publication that following Friday.

Why not have a look at what our hundreds of writers submitted?

WE STILL HAVE A FACEBOOK PAGE TO WHICH REGULAR CONTRIBUTORS CAN SIGN UP
We still have a "Friends-only" Facebook group which writers will be invited to join. It'll be a place where you can discuss whatever you like, policed only very lightly. It's also where developments in FFF will be shared, and subjects put out for discussion.

Only open to genuine contributors.
