The third and final edition of Ghost—Ghost 2568: Wish We Were Here, curated by Amal Khalaf takes place across 8 venues in Bangkok. The curators of the first two editions return to “haunt” Ghost:2568 with special projects, Christina Li with Ghost: Bodies Dispossessed and Korakrit Arunanondchai with Wish We Were Songs for Ghost, and Host returns, an alternative pedagogical platform by Pongsakorn Yananissorn.
ในครั้งที่สามและครั้งสุดท้ายของเทศกาล Ghost ซีรีส์วิดีโอและศิลปะการแสดง Ghost 2568: หากเราได้อยู่ด้วยกัน คิวเรทโดย อามาล คาลาฟ จัดขึ้น ใน 8 สถานที่ทั่วกรุงเทพฯ พร้อมกัน อีกทั้งภัณฑารักษ์จากสองอีดิชั่นก่อนหน้า คริสติน่า ลี และ กรกฤต อรุณานนท์ชัย ยังได้กลับมาหลอกหลอนด้วยกันใน Ghost:2568 พร้อมกับโปรเจกต์ต่างๆ รวมถึงการกลับมาอีกครั้งของ Host โปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ทางเลือกโดย พงศกรณ์ ญาณะณิสสร
Wish We Were Here is conceived as a song for survival within the shrinking spaces of freedom in our cities, a meeting place where our deepest yearnings for each other, for lost places and ways of being can take shape and find rest. Tracing the edges of Bangkok’s Chao Phraya river, the installations and performances explore the unruly and ungovernable ways we bring new worlds into being, and the messy solidarities we craft in the process.

Offering spaces to commune, to gather in rebellion, joy and shared heartbreaks. Wish We Were Here brings together 35 artists, fashion collectives, dancers, poets, musicians and metaphysical practitioners to surface genealogies and trajectories of Ghost thinking. Like an overflowing river remembering where it is supposed to flow these projects made up of new commissions as well as existing works are offered as a praxis or a methodology, a summoning, to think about the place of performance, video sound and voice through concepts of community, personal and collective histories, power relations and gender, and the formation or lack of collective political imagination.

Ghost: Bodies Dispossessed ๏ Ghost: ริบร่าง

What happens when a ghost ceases to be affixed to a body? Ghost: Bodies Dispossessed presents new performance and video installations by returning artists Orawan Arunrak, Raqs Media Collective, and Koki Tanaka. Curated by Christina Li, who continues her role from the 2022 Bangkok edition and will guide future ghosting projects between these mirroring places with Hartwig Art Foundation in her home city Amsterdam.

Wish We Were Songs for Ghost is a sonic based performance program curated by Korakrit Arunanondchai. The artist invites his past musical collaborators to perform around “Patience” (2025),an installation with its own rhythm and temporality, commissioned for Ghost:2568 by Dan Lie. “Patience”(2025) will host three nights of performances throughout the duration of Ghost:2568.

Host:2568, curated by Pongsakorn Yananissorn, is an alternative pedagogical four month long program that redefines Ghost’s docents’ positions and experiences within Ghost as well as the wider ecosystem. Manifesting embodied experiences as storytellers, friends, and companions to the exhibition, the program fosters a platform for sharing discourse for emerging cultural practitioners in the ecosystem. A focus on the people, participants, artists, and those around our community, Host:2568 invites us to share our stories and encounters— of what remains when the show is over.
