DETER DEER FROM ALL LABELED CROPS

M-Pede® offers an OMRI-listed, broad-label solution that now includes repelling deer on labeled crops.

M-Pede can be used as a deer repellent in many crops, including highly browsed agronomic crops such as soybeans. M-Pede should be applied at 2% V/V in a water volume sufficient to achieve good coverage but not runoff. Applications should be timed to the crop phenology that is most susceptible to deer depredation. We have found that in most crops, applying sprays early (cracking/early emergence) has been the most impactful, but the exact timing will depend on the crop and its phenology. Local knowledge of deer biology and crop susceptibility will greatly enhance the impact of M-Pede on deer feeding.

KEY BENEFITS:

  • 0-day PHI
  • Provides effective protection for crops against "deer" damage
  • Protects crop investments and reduces the risk of replanting caused by deer depredation
  • Enhanced stand density and superior leaf retention
  • Improved plant height for stronger yields
  • Effective alternative to physical barriers
  • Easy to use formulation

APPLICATION PARAMETERS:

  • Complete coverage is essential for maximum control
  • Mix labeled rate of M-Pede as a total percent of final spray volume
  • May be sprayed with most types of ground or aerial equipment
  • Apply pre-emergence and/or post-emergence to labeled crops, including soybeans.
  • The addition of an adjuvant that prevents wash-off may improve longevity of repellency when applied as a post emergence treatment.
  • Applications with other pesticides, foliar fertilizers and such should be jar tested before application to insure compatibility. Not all tank mixes have been tested for crop safety.
  • Avoid applications when temperatures exceed 85°F, as crop injury may occur on sensitive crops.
  • Avoid more than three consecutive weekly applications unless your experience has shown the use pattern to be non-injurious
  • Reapply every 7 – 14 days.
  • Tank mixes with glyphosate containing products will require constant agitation and may require the addition of a compatibility agent.

RESTRICTIONS:

  • Wait at least 7 days between applications of M-Pede
  • Do not tank mix M-Pede with sulfur or spray M-Pede within 3 days of a sulfur application

TESTIMONIALS:

Very good product that works as expected. Keeps deer out of sweet potatoes for up to two weeks. While reapplication may be needed for extended protection, its affordability and ease of use make it a smart choice compared to other options.” ~ Mr. Mitch Leflore, Leflore Ag Services, Eupora, MS
