‘Iolani School is a culturally diverse, college preparatory school for approximately 2,300 students in kindergarten through 12th grade, rooted in the tradition and values of The Episcopal Church.
Academic excellence flourishes in an atmosphere that is challenging and competitive, yet caring and nurturing. Through dynamic, personalized instruction across a wide range of disciplines, our day and boarding programs foster an educational experience that inspires intellectual growth, character development, and a spirit of collaboration, humility and respect for all members of our community.

Founded in 1863, ‘Iolani School currently educates 2,300 students of diverse racial and religious heritage.
Arts
With 32 performing arts groups and 18 visual arts course offerings, nearly all Upper School students participate in some form of the arts.
Boarding
Students from across the country and around the world live on campus in a state-of-the-art, five-story Residence Hall.

Athletic participation is high at ‘Iolani School. Seventy-four percent of Upper School students participate in at least one sport.

ʻIolani School is proud to celebrate our stunning new Arrillaga Student Center. Delivered by Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. on schedule, this beautiful new center was ready to open the spring semester on Jan. 20, 2026.
