Who we are Who we are

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is recognised as Ireland’s leading animal welfare charity. Our role is to prevent cruelty to animals, to promote animal welfare and to proactively relieve animal suffering in Ireland.

Ernie 🐢

Ernie is an adult terrapin with a huge personality and an even bigger sense of humor. About 2 years old. He enjoys being hand-fed, is very friendly, and keeps everyone entertained ❤️

Ernie is looking for a home with an experienced reptile keeper. He has a pyramided shell and requires daily care, including a daily vitamin. Terrapins require a large amount of space (regardless of their size). Ernie would need an aquarium of at least 400 litres with a water heater, basking area, basking light and UVB light among other things which we can discuss with anyone looking to adopt him.

With the right care, Ernie can live up to 50 years old so when considering welcoming this little guy into your life please be ready and willing to look after him for his whole life.

If you offer Ernie the home, he needs please register your interest and we can arrange for you to meet him and talk you through everything and help you with ideas for making your own pond or indoor enclosure

Looking for a smart, devoted, and active companion?

Franki is a devoted sweet loyal girl. Aged just 7 years old she has been through a lot already. She was rescued by NSPCA Inspectors just over a year ago from living in unsuitable conditions. She was very shut down when she first arrived and had a very bad eye. Vets made the decision to remove her bad eye to improve her quality of life and to eliminate the pain it was causing her.

It’s been a long road for Franki and every day she is growing in confidence and learning that there are people who love her ❤️

She is growing into a happy, lively & active girl who just wants to be part of your every day life. She is so smart and apart from loving people, she has serious affections for playing fetch - get the sticks, rope toys and tennis balls at the ready!

Over the year Franki has grown into a stunning girl who lives for adventure and thrives on activity. Whether she’s diving into the water for a swim, chasing down her favourite ball, or mastering a new trick in record time, Franki brings energy and enthusiasm to everything she does.

She love her food, especially treats which makes her a joy to train. She is looking for an active family who has an understanding of her breed and keep her mind and body active 🐾

She’s best suited to a home with adults 18+ and as the only dog in the house. No kitty cats - they are too much fun to chase.

Hi everyone, I’m Scout and I’m calling on all our amazing friends and followers to share my cute photo so that I can find a forever home 💙

I’m returning to the shlter tomorrow from my foster home and I’d love to have a home lined up so that I don’t have to spend any more time in a shelter environment.

I’m only 15 weeks old and I adore people and love having company. My foster family said that I’m very bright, and very affectionate who thrives on attention, playtime, and being part of the family.

As with any young puppy, I will need time, patience, and positive puppy training to help me grow into a happy and well behaved adult dog. I’m at a crucial stage in my life where I need someone who will be patient with me and teach me to be the best boy that I can.

I’m a Spaniel Collie cross who will be active and medium size when fully grown 🐶
