This "non-contact" marking method is permanent and offers numerous advantages over traditional techniques such as ink printing or microdot mechanical engraving. Laser marking is widely adopted in sectors such as electronics, automotive, medical, and home appliances for its ability to create high-quality and durable markings on different materials.

Laser cleaning is a technique used to remove contaminants from a surface. Optimizing the laser parameters ensures effective removal of contaminants while leaving the treated substrate intact. This process can follow a specific geometry or extend to the entire surface. Its versatility makes it widely used in sectors such as automotive, medical, semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicles and battery production, ensuring high quality and consistency between treated parts.

Degating is a crucial process in the production of injection molded plastic components, widely used in the automotive and other manufacturing industries. It involves the careful removal of excess plastic material, known as a "gate" or injection point, which remains attached to the part after molding. Degating is essential to achieve high-quality finished parts, improving both appearance and dimensional accuracy. Effective degating ensures that parts meet required specifications, facilitating assembly and ensuring optimal functionality of the final product.

Engraving is a non-contact, wear-free process for removing layers of material. Laser engraving is the only technique in which no tool physically touches the object to be engraved. In fact, the laser beam heats the material until it is vaporized. The laser parameter settings and vision systems used by LASIT make it possible to meet a wide variety of engraving needs in the industrial environment.

What is Laser Marking?

Laser marking is the process of permanently marking materials using a high-precision focused laser beam. This cutting-edge technology offers a noncontact, environmentally friendly and highly versatile method for personalization, identification and traceability of industrial products. There are several techniques, each with specific characteristics to suit different materials and application requirements.

Laser Engraving

Creation of deep and durable grooves by removing the surface layer of the material

Annealing

Changing the structure of the material by heat, creating markings without removing the material

Viraggio

Change of material surface color by laser-induced chemical reactions

Ablation

Removal of a thin layer of material, allowing an underlying layer to be exposed or to create distinct patterns
