The much-loved Leeds Tapestry celebrating the city’s history has received an inspiring new panel, completely designed and stitched by residents to explore ideas of freedom.

Leeds will once again be filled with lights, laughter and family excitement this February as the Valentine’s Fair returns to the city centre from Friday 13 February to Sunday 22 February 2026.

Over 600 square metres of rooftop solar panels have been installed at the council-run plant nursery and garden centre The Arium, expecting to cut its energy consumption by 39 per cent.
