In near‑freezing temperatures, our two 64‑ton cold boxes completed their journey from our Schalchen, Germany plant to CERN - the world’s largest particle physics laboratory near Geneva, Switzerland. These massive refrigeration cold boxes will help expand the cryogenic capacity required for CERN’s High‑Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (#HiLumiLHC) project, a global scientific effort designed to significantly increase luminosity. Transporting equipment of this scale is a logistical achievement, demanding meticulous coordination across road and water routes from Bavaria to Switzerland and France. Linde is proud to deliver some of the key components for the upgraded cryogenic system, supporting CERN as it pushes the frontiers of physics. #LindeIsEverywhere #LindeKryotechnik

#PhotoFriday Our team recently completed the installation of two new 3,000 liters liquid nitrogen tanks in Vancouver, Canada. These tanks support a plasma‑based process that supplies gas to a reactor used to crack methane into hydrogen and solid carbon - another step forward in advancing low‑carbon innovation. #LindeIsEverywhere

Congratulations to our Engineering team on their role in the successful commissioning of BASF’s steam cracker start-up at its newly built Verbund site in Zhanjiang, South China. This project marks the world's first cracker using 100% renewable energy to drive its main compressors (eDrives), featuring a liquid feed ethylene unit with a capacity of approx. 1000 kilo tons per annum utilizing Linde’s cracker technology. Linde's involvement with the project started in early 2021 with basic engineering, extending to key components for the cracking furnaces, main compressors, electric drives and proprietary equipment including plate-fin heat exchangers and a pressure-swing adsorption unit. Congratulations to all teams involved for setting a new low-carbon benchmark! #LindeIsEverywhere
