  • Silent auction or online raffle? Let's break it down. Silent auctions work best when you have donors with higher giving capacity who enjoy competition, access to high-value items that can't be bought online, and a revenue goal of $10,000 or more. They require two to three months of planning but create genuine engagement. Online raffles shine when you need to reach a wide audience quickly, have compelling prizes, and want to raise $5,000 to $15,000 with minimal overhead. You can launch in three to six weeks with less volunteer support. Spoiler alert: You don't have to choose. Many organizations run silent auctions during main events while launching raffles during slower periods to keep revenue flowing year-round. Our complete guide breaks down the planning process for both formats: https://lnkd.in/eaW6munM

  • The hardest part of P2P recruitment? Knowing what to say. Most nonprofits want to recruit peer-to-peer participants, but they struggle with how to start the conversation. What if supporters say no? What if they feel pressured? What if they don't know how to fundraise? Our year-end P2P playbook gives you the conversation scripts that work—the ones that address concerns, build confidence, and get supporters excited about participating. You'll also get: - A timeline for when to have these conversations - Support strategies that keep fundraisers engaged - And more! Download the free playbook: https://lnkd.in/edsKhNHA

  • Our friends at Jordan Thomas Foundation have had a successful 20-year track record with its annual golf tournament. But as the foundation approached its milestone anniversary, the team wanted to expand its fundraising portfolio and reach a broader donor base. For its 20th anniversary, JTF decided to host their first-ever gala. Its existing tools weren't built for sophisticated events - it needed technology that could handle registration, sponsorships, and auctions all in one place. That's when JTF switched to Pledge It. Then, midway through planning, the team added both silent and live auctions to the event—a change that could have derailed its timeline on other platforms. "As we started developing our event, we decided to go full force on auctions. We started using that in Pledge It, which ended up being so helpful. If we had gone with anybody else, we wouldn't have been able to switch gears like we did in the middle of planning," says April De Leon. The result? The team substantially exceeded its fundraising goal and processed all end-of-night transactions in just 30-45 minutes, rather than spending hours the next day. • We just released our year-end peer-to-peer playbook, and this is why you should read it ⬇️ When you recruit P2P participants right before spring events, supporters often feel rushed or unprepared. But when you start those conversations during year-end—while donors are already engaged—they have time to get comfortable and excited about fundraising. This playbook gives you a practical roadmap for that approach. You'll find conversation scripts that address common concerns, a month-by-month timeline from now through May, and retention strategies that bring your best fundraisers back year after year.
