Grant Spotlight: Meet Rise Above Foundation, a local nonprofit that removes financial barriers to enriching experiences for Massachusetts children and young adults in foster care. Each year, they help nearly 3,000 youth participate in sports, arts, camps, and educational opportunities, and provide critical support for young adults through college care packages and first-apartment Launch Boxes. Every year, Sincere celebrates Groundhog Day with a day of service and team lunch. On Monday, we visited the MetroWest YMCA where some members of our team read to children in the Early Learning Center while others prepared vegetables to be used by the kitchen staff for their robust meal distribution program. Grant Spotlight: Meet Sincere Foundation grant recipient, Lower Cape Outreach Council (LCOC). LCOC provides comprehensive support through nine emergency food pantries, financial assistance programs, Katy’s Korner (a free clothing and household resource), and seasonal initiatives that ensure families have winter coats, Thanksgiving meals, and holiday toys. Their goal is to help neighbors lead healthy, productive lives, and remain part of the Cape Cod community they call home. A grant from Sincere Foundation will help them stock their food pantries.
